TNB Basic Rules 2012
TNB League Basic Rules.............
By registering with TNB, you agree to read and fully understand these following rules.
You also agree to abide by these rules at all times.both when racing TNB and when using chat and the forum.
Failure to follow the rules WILL lead to disciplinary action.
ALL Disciplinary action is made by the joint decisions of the DP team and by the Admin team where needed.
Their decisions are final, although you may, at their discretion, submit an appeal against their decision. The decision made regarding an appeal is the final action. No further correspondance will be entered into. If you are not happy with that outcome you have two choices, keep quiet or leave.
If you dont like it, simple, dont race the league or use its forum, feel free to go elsewhere.
No swearing or racism.
Not on the forum, in chat or whilst racing. Its not big or clever and it just wont be tolerated.
If you get caught you will recieve an instant load up & a 2 week ban for your troubles, regardless.
No Booking in to race means No Racing.
Simple as that, even if you send a skin in it wont be included unless you book in before 5pm on Thursdays!!!
You must book yourself in to race.
If your forum account has not yet been activated and you can MSN or PM on FB or Ovalchat one of the Admin/DP team, then you may request a booking to race through them, at their discretion. Other than that there are NO other reasons that you will be allowed to race if you have not booked in yourself. It only takes a couple of seconds to do it yourself, so no ' multiple' bookings will be accepted.
Only on a Team meeting will there be any deviation from this rule, the Team captain is the ONLY person that may book the whole team in, but all team drivers must show an interest in racing in the booking thread. As is usual, all drivers MUST be registered previously with TNB and not subject to a current ban from racing.
Skin Deadline 5pm.
We allow a bit of time past 5 O'clock just in case, however that dosent mean you can take the mick and send a skin in at half past 6!
If its a problem, send it the day before as you do have all week to sort this!
All skins to be sent to .... tnbangerskins@yahoo.co.uk WITH THE DRIVERS TEXT!
Skins are not to include any bad language/racism/offensive slogans or pictures of nudity in any form.
One car,per person,per meeting,
The only exception is a defending champion at a title meeting.
No Modding
Modding car files will not be tolerated.
You MUST use the Online Bangers Mod ONLY. Its only a couple of downloads so should you be found guilty of modding it is an Instant LIFE Ban!
DO NOT ADD ANY OTHER DOWNLOADS OR CAR FILES TO THE MOD EXCEPT OFFICIAL ONES LOCATED ON THIS FORUM
No Cheat Messages will be tolerated
THERES NO REASON FOR THEM! ( unless of course you are not using the correct mod OR you are using modified car files, in which case see the rule above! Its a lifetime ban from racing TNB!)
If you are producing cheat messages, you will be asked to sort them. Failure to do so will mean a load up and it will then be investigated further.
A cheat message will ONLY appear if you do not have the correct files installed. Now there really is no excuse!
If you are loaded at a meeting and then mess around when your asked to leave/re-enter chat or the servers after being asked to leave, your ban will rapidly increase.
You must display your own number on the roof fin
Even if its a replica skin it MUST display your own number on it.
If its one of the "Bcars" that dont have a fin, you number must be clearly written on the car bodywork somewhere, preferably on the front doors. If you use masks to remove the roof fin your number must be on both sides of the car,no exceptions.
TNB roof grades to be displayed only.
If you have a roof grade by all means display it, but it must be one you have won at TNB! Other leagues gold/silver/chequered/polka dot roofs dont count here. In future your car wont be included in the skinpack if its sporting a title which you havnt won here.
Clutch starts.
Where clutch starts are used, you roll to a stop once you gain control of your car from the computer on the 1st lap.
Stop in the order that the computer starts you in, No jumping from the middle to the back etc etc.
The only drivers that are required to start from the back are current TNB champions. Thats the world, 2 litre world, pre 70 world, National, British, English and Fig 8 World champs, No one else.
Racing Rules.......
Please Turn everything else not needed for racing on your computer OFF!
I cannot stress how important this is!!! We are the biggest independant online banger racing league which relys on private servers. Those servers have limitations. Those limitations dont allow you to leave chat on when racing, being on facebook or browsing saggy horny grannys whilst downloading illegal videos/dvds/music files !!!
No oppo on straights
Unless stated otherwise by the Race Manager of the evening. This also includes reversing up the straights. You will be Loaded.
No Infielding
If you attack onto the infield/off the infield you will be loaded/recieve a ban. If you spin/are pushed/knocked/spun onto the center, then rejoin the track in a manner as to not to cause a problem to anyone else. If you Blatently do it then your Instantly Loaded!
Pinning, Blocking and sandbaging are now illegal!
Leaning isnt illegal, however its gay and the lowest form of driving. If your found to be/complained about for continiously driving like a prat, you will be warned for your first 'offence' and further action will be taken if it does not stop.
Its gay, lossy and basically means your crap because you cant do it the 'proper' way........
Sandbagging...Question......I recognise sandbagging is not allowed, according to the TNB rules, but no given definition of the term is to be found in the rules. So I am assuming you’ll be going by the standard ‘sandbagging in racing’ definition on Wikipedia.
Answer...The basic principle of "sandbagging" is "underperforming" slowing your car down whilst moving in the correct direction in order to do something underhand, regardless of what that underhand thing may turn out to be.you listed various different american versions such as deliberately avoiding cars which are specific to certain types of races but the basic principle is the same,Slowing down whilst travelling in the correct direction.Your car is underperforming because it has the ability to go faster but you choose not to and your target will catch up behind you a lot quicker.
Question...You might argue that holding back my car to stop or slow down other drivers is sandbagging, yet this is allowed on the bends in form of attacking on opposite. If attacking on opposite is classed as sandbagging, then I will accept a ban on the condition that anyone else who attacked on opposite (sandbagged) is also given a ban. I recognise attacking on opposite is allowed in your TNB rules, so I am not expecting to be punished for this.
Answer...No,On oppo its travelling in the opposite direction, oppo meaning opposite,Sandbagging is travelling in the correct direction but deliberately slower than race pace.
Restarts...A rule is now in place,You may call for a restart with good reason,However if the leaders are on their 3rd lap no restart will take place,Its your responsibility to ensure you get to the game lobby in good time,
Entry to the big final meetings is determined thus... - Dependant on servers of course...
National Points (top 17) + defending champ + Possibly a LCQ from the B Final
We used to allow qualifying on the night but got sick of an outsider winning then never racing again the rest of the year! This way it rewards the people that stay loyal and race TNB regularly,However at the big meeting finals the B Final will be run as a LCQ with the winner going on to that meetings championship.
So the top 17 in the National Points and defending champion will race the final + a LCQ from the B Final (13 laps)
If anyone in the top 17 fails to show then their place will go to the next person 18th in National Points points and so on,
The points system is:
Heats: 10,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
A Final : 20,16,14,12,10,8,6,4,2
B Final/Allcomers : Dont be silly!
All A Finals will be run over 25 laps.
All B Finals/LCQ's will be run over 13 laps.
The booking in threads and MI's will give you all the information you need, if there is anything that you are not 100% sure of then ask!
All meetings are for National Points unless stated otherwise.
Start time is 8pm.
We want to race and fit in as many heats as we can! A maxium of 5 minutes over time will be allowed but If your still not ready.....Too bad!!! Be in chat for as early as possible! Dont turn up at 7.59 pm and ask for links to the skinpack and expect the meeting to be postponed for you. Think of everyone else.
Join the server when you are told to by the nights RM. If you are left behind in chat for whatever reason and you then join the server when the race is underway, it will not be ended for you so dont get the hump! Return to chat and WAIT for the next heats.
No talking during the race is permitted
The only time you speak is if you have a problem or need a restart OR you are asked by the server host to call go. Other than that, SHUT IT!
We dont want to read mid-race about your football team or how epic your nan is etc blah blah blah!
If someone acts like a prat/drives badly, whatever, then wait until back in chat and then tell the RM or DP team members to deal with it. Dont moan during the race.
The only people that are occasionaly permitted to say anything are Admin/DP members if they spot something going on during a race that shouldnt be, calling positions for starts or generaly making announcements
Complaints
If you have a complaint about someone else from the meeting that you would like the DP team to investigate then you MUST save the replay,If you dont theres not much that can be done about it,
Send your replay to the TNB skin email address > tnbangerskins@yahoo.co.uk by MIDNIGHT SUNDAY LATEST That gives the DP team time to address the problem before the next meeting.

All bans will be posted up on the forum by tuesday night latest,That gives you time to see whats been going on and also allows you time to appeal should you find yourself with a ban,
